On Monday, Leicester Crown Court was told call records and data obtained from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a trip in Portugal - is considered the most covered investigations and remains unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

One recorded message, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm overweight and not pretty like Madeleine was, but I know what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? Then what? Is that not significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a living here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," the message continued.

The jury was informed that via electronic messages, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with the police force who compiled the evidence, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted close associates of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On that date, Mr McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt recorded a message on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court was informed the co-defendant established a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in that area in last December.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had communicated through messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the months preceding the appearance to that location, that area, in that winter.

The court heard correspondence between the two accused, in last November, discussing trying to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the trip to their home, Mrs Spragg dispatched a text which said: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark resembling investigators. I desired to achieve this with another person I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
