Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions towards female individuals.

The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
