The Music Icon Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary First Look

The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a significant big screen onslaught in 2026, beginning with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Within the project, Charli embodies what she refers to as a twisted version of her public image.

It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever seen, Charli stated.

She further explained in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, however the inspiration originated from the pressure to produce one.

An Early Look into The Film

The debut trailer, released on recently, blends real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized backstage scenes.

The film is helmed and co-scripted by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the narrative revolves around a world where the artist took completely different paths in the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

A Packed Film Calendar

This project is just one of numerous future screen roles for the musician, who already appeared in three festival films this year.

Furthermore took on her own role in the humorous show Overcompensating.

What’s Next

Next year will also include the artist together with Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.

Additionally, she joined to appear in Dakota Johnson’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

I’m deeply appreciating my foray into acting, Charli stated. I feel very, very inspired right now in acting, and I only ever want to do roles that stimulate me.

Musical Contributions

Next February will also bring the release of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will feature fresh tracks from the artist.

She will also compose the score for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch soon.

The Moment is set to premiere on 30 January.
